This project is done, save for the weaving in of the ends and the blocking.

I sure learned A LOT for my first knitting project in 30+ years - long-tail cast on, how to knit in the round, ssk, k2tog, backwards loop cast on, picking up stitches for the gusset, M1L and M1R increases… just a few of the techniques I had to google!

I also learned that yarn can make or break a project. While I loved the colour of the yarn I chose, I hated the texture of it. I also learned to save the label, because I have no idea what it was. Something from Michaels. It was likely 100% acrylic, though - it was hard and pilled easily and has no give to it. Pretty, but I didn’t love the final product.

Still and all - my first-ever knit-in-the-round, not a square or rectangle project. Not a bad start!
