Colour choice was a serious issue for this one, as I wanted to pay proper homage to the fandom. I googled the colours of Hyrule and it looks like green and gold, which are also the colours I associate with Link, but the Hyrulian Shield is blue with red accents. My teenager, who has cosplayed Link and owns a Hyrulian Shield, assured me that green is a good base colour, and either orange (for a more rustic look) or gold/yellow would work. Done!

So I’m a dork and realized that when I enlarged and printed the centre of the pattern so I could easily count the stitches, somehow I got it turned around and I’m now knitting it upside down.

Familiar enough with the fandom to recognize the triforce, but not enough to realize the hyrulian shield is upside down.
