The pattern for the cardigan and cap is in 3 sizes. The smallest cardigan will also fit the newborn baby dolls if one wanted to knit it for a baby doll.

Featured on the main photo are a pink and baby blue cardigan which was presented to the Royal House of Denmark as a present to HRH Crown Prince Frederik and HRH Princess Mary to congratulate them with the birth of their newborn twins: Josephine and Vincent earlier this spring. An alternate color version is grey with blue edging; both color options are available as kits.

Finished sizes: 1 month: 15.5 in/40 cm (1-3 months: 19 in/48 cm ) 3-6 months: 20.5 in/52 cm (approximate measurements)
Yarn: 2 oz Zephyr Wool-Silk 2/18 Lace Weight for the two small sizes, 3 oz for the largest size,
Needles: US#2/2.5 mm and double pointed needles US#2/2.5 mm
You will also need 6 small buttons and 1 yard silk ribbon

Level: Intermediate, if you can read a pattern, are comfortable knitting and purling on two straight needles this pattern is for you. A feather and fan lace pattern forms the lower part of the cardigan while the top is knitted in garter stitch. With the exception of arms and a few rows forming armholes the cardigan is knitted in one piece

Gauge: K sts only: 36 sts x 28 rows = 4 in x 4 in/10 cm x 10 cm
