started this in january but had to frog everything back, the yarn was too sticky (the old lanolin type of sticky). washed the yarn, started anew in March. Size M.

second ball of yarn wasn’t sticky. somewhat strange that these worked up so differently. i hope i can wash some of the remaining stickiness out of it.

65x65 cm before blocking, I stopped after row 48/16 and followed the pattern for the version without the edge (1 knit, 1 purl row, appropriate bind off). I felt I was growing tired of the size of the hap on the needles and probably wouldn’t have had the willpower to finish the edge. I am very happy with that decision, it’s just a little less maintenance for mom-to-be (what with drying the hap flat and possibly caring for the edge), quite a nice size for a crib and I like the minimalism of the hap’s shape without the edge.

70cm wide/long after a light blocking (didn’t pin, will likely wash again before gifting in August) - the yarn isn’t particularly even, but there’s no distortion, it blocked out super evenly despite being a single yarn (yay garter!), it feels light and airy but strong. It doesn’t feel sticky to me anymore.
