ran out of light blue fluffy stuff after 3.5 repeats, I’ll keep using my handspun as sole contrast color, it might make for a fun transition.

I love the pattern but can definitely say that kid silk is not for me. I’m looking forward to knitting this proper with grippy yarn. I have a feeling this particular cowl will be gifted and I’ll keep a non-fluffy version :D

04.06.2023

finished all 6 pattern repeats and i loooove this design and how it finally shone through after the kid silk was over and done with. there is a transition in gauge, but that has nothing to do with the pattern but it is of course my doing. now funnily enough, when i put on the cowl, i much preferred to have the non-kid-silk section in front, yay no fuzz on dry skin. so happy i didn’t have enough of that devils arsehair… it was a pain to graft, too, i had to leave my provisional crochet cast on in place. so lessons learned ;)
