3.25 addi novel, so closer to 3mm needles

white yarn is handspun wallisian blacknose yarn in close to fingering weight quality.

i love this pattern! it took a repeat to really memorize it but once it clicked, this was a breeze to knit through. dimensionwise it sits at 60cm circumference and maybe 22cm in width. and i feel like knitting another one :)

i really don’t enjoy (undoing) provisional cast-ons so cast on my sts, knit 2 rows in stst in my MC (p, then k), only then joined to knit in the round with the first patterned row. i knit to 1 row before the pattern ends and then put a length of both yarns (3-4 cowl circumferences) on sewing needles and grafted/sewed that last patterned row to the first one in the round. because the pattern is so dense, it’s incredibly easy to see which stitches to graft to each other. now, this method does create a bit of bulk due to the two stst rows, but i don’t mind a bit of visible construction and the pattern is matched more neatly than my previous attempts.
