This is the first project I am attempting using a brick stitch on the machine.

This was turning out a little smaller than the guage swatch, so I added 4 sts to the belly/chest piece. I still think that it may be too small for Tim, but I won’t know for sure until it is seamed.

Carriage- Top levers set at “N”, bottom levers set at “H”
NECK:
TD set @ 6
37 needles e-loop cast on with green. Knit 20 rows and convert to 2x2 rib.
BODY:
Re-set TD to 7
carry up yarn not in use every other row.
Knit 4 rows with bananaberry and then put 1st, last, and every 4th needle into position “E” (holding p.)
work 4 rows with CC (yellow, blue, and green, changing CC with each pattern repeat). Put needles with CC over them into position “D” (forward working p.) with latches open. Repeat the 8 rows of the pattern, switching
CC, 11 times (88 rows of body). Do 4 more rows of bananaberry.
Re-set TD to 6.
Knit 9 rows green and convert to 2x2 rib.
Use needle bind-off.
Chest:

22 needles e-loop cast on using bananaberry.
14 rows 2x2 rib
22 rows plain knitting
20 rows reduction (reduce 2 sts, every other row until there are four left, then reduce middle st., so that there are three, k 1 more row, needle bind off 3 sts, place marker on middle stitch before removing from machine for easier seaming later.
sew seams as for chihuahua sweater.
