Notes

I did the venus tips up tutorial, and I think I have it figured out…
Once I figured out that there were mostly four kinds of blocks and where they went in relation to each other, it got pretty easy to do.
I really enjoyed seeing how the color changes in the yarn made different colored blocks as I went along. My yarn was all the same dye lot, but I have noticed definite differences in the range of colors in some skeins. One skein had some very light powder blue in it, some skeins were dominated by purples, and one skein that I haven’t used yet has some pretty bright red sections that the others don’t.
I love this thing. It is really soft, and I think it will be nice and warm.
When I washed it before I blocked it it sure did shed a lot of fibers! I imagine in the future it will shed less. I need to go over it with a lint roller before I give it away.
6-7-14 I finished all of the knitting, I am going to make a hat to go with it before I block it.
8-23-14 It’s blocking!
3-11-16 I have revised the yarn totals for this project. I started with 4 skeins, but ended up ordering several more to finish it. I am not sure exactly how many…I ordered at least 2 more skeins twice. So, between 7-12 skeins. I am making another one now, and will pay more attention to how much yarn I use!
