Don’t be like me. Read the beginning of the pattern carefully, otherwise you’ll knit the whole hem and then realise that you were only meant to be working on one needle, not both.

Finished the folded hem and eyelet stitch section.

Completed bottom of the body and split the front and back sections.

Finished left front but didn’t bind off — left stitches on some waste yarn to do a three needle bind off later.

Completed back neckline and split the left and right backs.

I don’t like the sleeve i-cord with the bigger needle so I’m going to rip it out and knit it with the same needle as I’ve used throughout.

Might also pick up one stitch in from the edge.

Finished i-cord edge for left strap using a 4mm needle.

It looks so much neater than the previous attempts (first using a 5mm needle, going up two sizes as recommended, and then using a 4.5mm needle) so I’m pleased.

Just the other strap and the body to do!

Finally (!!!) finished all of the i-cords. I’ve been putting it off due to the heatwave but it’s 31°C and I’m done!!!

I’ll block it tomorrow and then sew the buttons on when I can be bothered.

Finally added the buttons.

It fits perfectly but I’d make the straps slightly longer next time and maybe add in some waist shaping.
