Picked up 124 stitches for the collar. I didn’t sew it down because I’m not a fan of the technique. Instead, I knit it down and cast off at the same time.

August 14, 2026

Picked up 108 stitches for left arm trim. Knit five rounds before the set up rows for the bind off.

August 15, 2026

Picked up 108 stitches for right arm trim. Knit five rounds before the set up rows for the bind off.

Just the body left to finish now that I know exactly how much yarn I have left. I don’t think it’ll end up as cropped as I expected.

August 21, 2026

Finished stocking stitch section, inserted a lifeline, and then knit 8 rounds of ribbing.

It’s on the edge of being too short but I’m going to do a quick block before finishing it just to make sure the length is perfect.

If it is too short, I’ll rip back to the lifeline and add more stocking stitch. I really don’t want any more than 8 rounds of ribbing.

Also, I have so much yarn left it actually doesn’t make sense.

After blocking this was perfect. I’ve removed the lifeline and knit the two set up rows for the cast off.

Started the cast off.

Done!

I loved this (revamped version) of the pattern. Very straightforward and simple to knit. I’d 100% knit it again in the future, maybe in black.
