Finished both saddles.

After knitting the back panel three times (because I can’t read basic instructions, apparently), I have finally joined the front and back to work on the body.

February 8, 2026

Finished current balls of yarn for the body (which went a lot further than expected) and picked up stitches for the collar.

February 12, 2026

Shortened the collar to an inch, rather than two, because I didn’t like the look of the original on me.

Picked up stitches for the right sleeve.

February 16, 2026

Right sleeve notes: knitted 9 full rounds after the short rows and ended on the 4th row of the 10th round as instructed. This leaves 4.25” (107mm) rather than 4” (100mm) but I will just make up the rest with a few extra rounds of ribbing.

Knitting the ribbing with a 4mm needle, rather than a 4.5mm, to make the sleeves slightly narrower at the wrist.

February 19, 2026

Completed right sleeve — knit 34 rounds of ribbing before the set up rows for the bind off.

Picked up stitches for left sleeve.

February 26, 2026

Finished left sleeve.

Continuing with the body.

March 1, 2026

Finished main section of body. Added two full rounds of the cable repeat to make it the right length.

March 8, 2026

Completed ribbing (23 rounds instead of the 34 used for the sleeves) and completed the set up rows for the bind off.

March 9, 2026

Finished binding off and weaving in some of my ends. Now I just need to block it and it’s finished!
