This pattern makes a beautiful hat. I was a little dissuaded by the twisted stitches in the ribbing, but it comes out really nice and I’m glad I stuck with it.

Rather than doing the sl2kpsso decreases as the pattern calls for, I used the following decreases:

R1: k2, k2tog, p (repeat until end)
R2: knit all stitches
R3: k2tog, k, p
R4: knit all stitches
R5: k2tog, p
R6: knit all stitches
R7: k, k2tog, p
R8: knit all stitches
R9: k2tog, p
R10: k2tog
(I then repeated R10 until I had less than 10 stitches. In my case, starting with 120 stitches, I did R10 twice, ending with 6 stitches).
