On US 5 needles, casted on 18 stitches for tubular cast-on, which became 36.

After 4 inches of the cuff, I switched to US 7 (as stated in pattern). When I picked up the 14 stitches for the thumb, I picked up 2-3 extra stitches to close the holes, and then k2tog those on the next round to get back down to 14 stitches.

I used duplicate stitch to close up the remaining minor holes near the thumb gusset.
