I wanted to make a second one of these bags but with a different theme. I chose to do oranges, lemons, and limes so I wouldn’t have to do any math.

Basically I used the circle portion of the pattern (that the mushrooms are sewn onto) and turned them into citrus fruit.

The first round I used white and the next three rounds the fruit color.

Then I surface slip stitched the pith between the third and fourth rounds and embroidered the fruit sections with the tails left over from the surface slip stitch.
