let’s do this with a totally wrong yarn.
history will prove me right.

• instead of the adviced fingering weight I used aran wool in two different colors, a solid teal and a striped white/cobalt yarn with blue and pink speckles-it’s a very simple pattern so I went for some colors experimentation!

Started casting on with the solid color, and then alternating the two yarns. The unused yarn is carried on the right side of the work in order to have it ready for the next repeat.

You probably will notice if your stitch count is off at row number eleven, when knitting the k2tog’s. Always check to have an odd number of stitches both left and right of the middle stitch and this should help tackle errors in the early stage ;)

Some basic math: at the end of the setup section you should be left with 37 stitches (7 cast on + 30 increases); all successive chart repeats bring 36 increases each, so at the end of nth section you should be left with 37 + ((n-1) x 36) stitches on the needles.

I think that this particular pattern looks great also on the wrong side, especially purls enhance the striped sections!
