Using 2 skeins 2 rows of each to avoid any color patterning.

Susan from The Yarn Patch suggested knitting the sleeves one size larger than the sweater size as they run small. Reading other project notes have confirmed this issue so I will be making the size 48 sleeves.

This project is a KAL with rmyers and will be her first sweater. I’m blocking pieces for both sweaters. Need/want new blocking board and some blocking wires!

Cast on long tail in pattern on 2/26/13.

Since I’m 5’10’ tall, I knit the back in pattern to just over 18” (row 94) before begining armhole shaping. This is 3 1/2 inches longer than the pattern specifies.

Cast on left front 3/10/13. Finished 3/16/13.

Cast on right front 3/16/13. Finished 3/25/13.

Cast on sleeve 3/25/13. Finished 4/1/13.

Cast on second sleeve 4/1/13. Finished 4/7/13.

Sleeves are the only thing left to block.

Finished the hood and seamed it on 4/22/13. Did not continue the center cable pattern up the hood as it reminds me of a dinosaur when up :(

Will begin picking up 3 stitches every 4 rows for button band on left front starting at center of hood. Final number will be divisible by 4 plus 2.

4/25/13: Picked up 186 stitches on left side, did ribbing for 1 1/2 inch per pattern on size 6 needles. Changed to size 8 needle and bound off in pattern.

The pics with my head in the clouds are the closest color. Taking more pics later with no flash and on a cloudy day to better represent color.
