First cast on of 2018, and the first Eat Sleep Knit sister’s KAL project of the new year. Happy 2018.

First time making toe up socks. They are quite fun, and I’m happy to apply the Judy’s cast on that we learned from Patty Lyons class at VKL Seattle this past November.

Pretty stretchy pattern, so redo after trying 56 stitches and a size 2.25 mm needle. I completed toe and 15 rounds of pattern, for trial run and gauge swatch.

Moving down to a 2.0 mm needle size, and 52 stitches for foot. I have to say, I am really enjoying this pattern.

1/6/18 - first toe up sock completed. I actually found it a bit more challenging than I expected, but the fit is good. and I know sock #2 will go along smoothly.
