Second time making this gorgeous shawl. Like last time I’m going to skip the plain knit section & pattern all over. Will also add beads towards the end.

Using 3.5mms needles and 2/28 linen in a pale silver grey, hoping for something pale, airy & almost ethereal if I can.

Wanted something I could wear in the summer, so chose a linen yarn rather than something wool based. Plus it’s a bit easier working with linen rather than wool when it’s hot out!!

Hoping this yarn will work well with this pattern. Last time I made it with a silk & linen blend, which turned out beautiful, so we will see ……

Started 2 June. Finished set-up chart 1 and one repeat of chart 2

September 18; finally finished, took longer as had to wait for beads to arrive.
Used 740 pale grey Ceylon beads in size 8/0 that work well with it. Only added beads on the finally charts.

Did 6 repeats of chart 2 then jumped to chart 4 row 13 and continued with chart 4 then chart 5. Added beads on charts 4 & 5.
Did Russian bind off with single strand of yarn, ended up with approx 857 sts.

Blocked, this is bigger than I expected but love it.
