Doggie modifications on my blog. I want a toque…not a beanie…and I want it to look like a night sky…and flowers…not white spots in the grass? What are those supposed to be anyway? update: I’m a moron-it has been brought to my attention that those are snowflakes like newly fallen snow! DUH! haha! This totally makes sense since there are snowflakes in the sky (although in my version I’m pretending they are stars).

I am doing a striping type effect because I don’t have really fancy yarn at all…just some random acrylic…I wasn’t too excited to start because I have wanted to make this hat forever and envisioned all kinds of fancy yarns…but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy more…so I’m using up lots of heartland (grass and sky), red heart (lighter green of the grass), simply soft (black on the sheep), caron united (white) and even boutique unforgivable (flowers)!

I repeated the first row of flowers after I did the second row…

Dd asked why I was making an eyeball hat…gee thanks kid…cuz now I see are eyeballs instead of sheep! ha!

I absolutely love it so far-still need the pom pom but I wove in the ends last night at my yarn group (second meeting ever) after I taught a neighbor how to make a granny square. :)

I opted for a big squishy pom pom….not being a fan of the really tight perfect ones…Not really sure why, but it is probably because of my love for the imperfect..

So Lola needed one as well…I’ll make a blog post about what I did in a little while…
