Notes

Using Gasabgirl’s notes. Thank goodness for them, saved me a lot of work having to rewrite the original. Such a cute pattern, I had to try it. Using some stash Caterina yarn and loving it so far.

Using german short rows, two strand cast on, and regular BO and CO for the holes…

I TOTALLY underestimated the amount of yarn I would need. I only had 1.5 skeins of the Cantina and probably meeded 3. I realized this factoid about halfway in, thankfully. So, for the second half of the project I only started the short rows anout a third of the way down the shawl from the beginning and turned evwry 3 stitches to compensate. I also had to male my holes closer together, about every 10, 8, 6 ridges. I was so MAD at myself. Buuuttttt I have to say I love it in spite of this tragic turn of events. I will make another someday, with the right amount of yarn. I could have gotten away with making it a bit shorter too, it didn’t need to ne that long. I thinj if I did 9 stitches between markers and theb knit 4 past the marker instead of 5 I would be good.
