Why the name? Welp, it is the campfire jacket, but I want to do it christmassy (omg ASSY hahah) and was reminded of an oldie christmas song, “Funky Christmas” which, of course has the line, “so now I have learned you’ve got to turn the fireplace down so Santa won’t get burned.” Yes. That all went through my head in like a half a second.

Hubby had shoulder surgery. I crocheted during the longer than expected procedure. My fitbit said I had exercised for 209 minutes and I hit my 11500 step count by 9 am. Hahahah. I got most done today!

My full write up about my day yesterday:
I have been pretty busy lately, I am an Election Judge so I spent all Tuesday doing that and then today my husband had his surgery. Here is my fun little crochet story about my day at the hospital!
Last night I started this sweater. My husband said he won’t be caught in public with me if I wear it. I am going for Christmas Vomit.
I was determined to mostly finish so I could wear it when he woke up haha! I crocheted during the longer than expected procedure. My fitbit said I had exercised for 209 minutes and I hit my 11500 step count by 9 am. Hahahah. I got most done today!
I had so much fun in the waiting room. Everyone was watching me and someone commented how cute it was. I had to explain that I was not going for cute and that I was going for ugly. So whenever I would try it on, people would say “oh that is so ugly” just to humor me! And other people that didn’t know what I was doing would gasp in surprise that they would be so rude! We had such a great time and that stupid waiting room! Hahaha! I wonder how many photos there are of me on other people’s Facebook timelines today hahaha
Since we were discussing embarrassing clothing, a woman pointed out her hubby’s tshirt. It said, “I fart after the first date.” He was in for a colonoscopy!!

I mostly have this thing finished. I would add that I did the seaming all the way to the ends for the arm portions-I was unsure about that until I got to the part that mentions crocheting the hood, and there you can see that it was seamed all the way. This was a really straight forward pattern and I quite like the ingenuity of it all. I will most likely make a normal color one-for seriousness haha!
Regarding the colors: I used two rows of the multi and single rows of the solids…unless I felt I needed double then I did double….so pretty much, I just did what I felt it needed where I felt it needed it. hahaha!
