Test knit for my dil, Orlafloknits: lovely pattern, extremely clear and beautifully photographed (and there’s a wonderful haiku at the end, written by dear son).

I’m doubling all these fingering weight yarns: not quite sure if my gauge is quite right, but it doesn’t really matter - it’s round about worsted/aran weight. I’ve used the ECY BFL throughout as a CC, doubling with 3 shades of JC Rennie to create a gradient: not quite as obvious as I was intending! Anyway, great to use these odd skeins up…

Mods: I’m not knitting the buttonhole: I want this as a fancy throw to help glam-up our rather tired-looking static caravan near Spurn (though perhaps wrap round me when there’s a north-easterly!). Also I knitted the i-cords in MC, rather than CC.
