Ever had an item of clothing which nothing else goes with? but that you love to bits and are determined to wear? well, that’s what’s happened in this case… a pair of H&M flared trousers in navy and gold which none of my clothes really go with, other than a short sleeved navy tee. And so my Double Trouble cardigan was conceived in navy and, erm, ginger!

I’ve knitted this exactly as per the pattern, except for making the body about an inch or so longer, just before the waist shaping; and also using a double YO for the buttonholes. It’s quite fitted on me in the 36” size, but that’s ok, as I’m planning to only wear a little tee underneath it. And it was very satisfying seaming those garter seams…
