I’m knitting this cardigan in fingering weight rather than the called-for sport weight. Consequently, my gauge is a bit off, so I’m knitting a size up.

The yarn is (a birthday present of) some merino beautifully dyed by my daughter-in-law, Colleen: the shade is a lovely subtle pinky-lilac, and I think this lacy cardigan will show it off perfectly.

Mods: lengthened the body (about 16” before the bottom rib); added a few beads to the lacework; picked up 3 sts out of 4 along the front bands (147sts each side).

11.2: great little fitted cardigan - love how it’s turned out in the finer weight yarn. Makes me feel summery! or even spring-like! And I really like this pattern: the yoke increases are very cleverly disguised within the lacework, and it’s a fairly simple lace design with the rest knitted in straightforward st st.
