Really fine gauge knitting (2.25mm, eek) in the round, so quite hard on the hands and taking a while to do. I love the fabric it produces though; and I love this pattern - proper tam!

Five repeats of the lace pattern before starting the crown decreases (which are beautifully staggered, btw).

24.11 finished today at mum’s nursing home. It needs to be blocked when I get home, but I can already tell that this is going to be awesome. The pattern is perfectly written, and the whole design concept really well-thought-out: because the fabric is so fine and dense, it holds the shape really well. A tam worthy of the Queen of Hat Design. Tamworthy. Hatworthy.

30.11: rather dim light, but I think the photos look quite atmospheric, especially with a ‘vintage’ filter. I must cut that label out of my blouse… lol
