Notes

I chose this (mainly) Jamieson’s of Shetland yarn to knit the Atlantic Hat pattern from the Shetland Wool Week 2018 Annual; and I was attempting to replicate the colours of the little beach in front of the cottage we rented in Shetland during SWW in September.

On an OS map, I found that the beach was called ‘the Sands of Cumliewick’ smile I have actually knitted the Atlantic Hat, but kind of got distracted with some completely different shades. But then I’ve also got distracted with this very simple striped beanie pattern from Kate D’s Milarrochy Heids - something straightforward for me to knit over Christmas, when the barbarian hordes have descended and all hope of concentration is lost… slightly_frowning_face I think it works really well though, with all these earthy Shetland shades smiley

Mods: down a couple of needles sizes to get gauge (I reckon I will have to do this with most of the Millarochy Heids patterns).
