Mods: I want this pullover to be quite cropped, but I’m still adding 2” to the body length - the original is just a bit too short for me.

I’ve been knitting this at my mum’s nursing home, while I sit with her again, and I’ve literally motored through it: a very fast knit. I love the construction, though I hope the cotton isn’t going to make too ‘floppy’ a fabric: this Drops cotton is almost silky soft.

26.6: blocking at the mo. I’ve tried it on and I love the look of it (particularly the shape of the neckline and the lace shoulder/sleeve section), but I’m not sure a pushing 61-year-old should be wearing a cropped top?! and that’s with adding 2” to the length of the body! I think it would need about 3-4” extra on top of that to make me feel comfortable.

I guess I have 2 options: wear it with pride, with a t-shirt underneath; or see if one of my daughters (or the older granddaughters?!) want it… I shall decide very soon when the official modelling takes place. Husband’s opinion (eg stifled laughter) might be crucial…

Yardage: I’ve used a few yards short of 5 balls, costing £5.75.

Pattern: there are a few minor errata. It states to knit the front for 6” straight, from the armhole shaping, whereas it should be about 5”, and then knit the ribbing (the back is 6” from CO). There is also a RS/WS mix-up at the start of the front ribbing.
