My Ravelry project notes would suggest that it’s 7 years since I last knitted socks!

I’ve knitted exactly as per the pattern, though I’ve worked a 3-needle bind off at the toe on the WS: I don’t know what’s gone wrong with my Kitchener technique, but it looks like utter crap . Also I worked the 2-stitch cables without a cable needle - very simple to do.
