Using up this amazing cerise Posh in a revamped version of Veera’s pattern. I feel slightly taken with the idea of a cerise/clashing shades colour-mash (planning on knitting the ruffles with various bright kidsilk oddments).

Mods: I’m going to knit this with more of an A-line shape: so, casting on for the 38” size and decreasing about every 1” to the 34” bust level. I’ve added about .5” to the armhole depth (following the 34” size); and the body length is about 17”, armhole to hem (length is 18” after blocking).

I’ve knitted all the ruffles with 28 sts, so the centre two are a bit longer; I’ve used leftover Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk and also some Austermann Kid Silk held double for these. I’ve grafted the shoulder seams by Kitchener stitch.

29.7: interesting to see how different yarns work with the same pattern: obviously with the silk content, this is much drapier than my first version (and then I’ve made it more flared too).

I really wasn’t sure about the bright colourways I’ve used, though I was thinking of those Indian rituals where they chuck what looks like brightly-coloured powder paint at each other. Anyway, I guess if I wear jeans or something very low-key with it! visible from deep space!
