Quick summer beret in some lovely cotton yarn which comes in a great range of retro colours: the 617 shade is a dark charcoal grey, verging on indigo - love it! I have indulged in a few balls of this yarn…

Pattern: extremely straightforward and clearly written. I’ve used a cable cast-on, but no mods.

Project title: I’ve been listening to a Paul Macca interview on the radio this weekend and he played a bit of this track from Abbey Road. It was such a brilliant line and I’ve been nostalgically humming it ever since.

NB: the last photo features (only just) my new Mary Quant second-hand shoes which I’m wearing in… they have the most beautiful ankle strapping.
