Notes

Couldn’t resist casting on for a pair of mitts in an idle moment.

A brilliant free pattern (which no doubt, I will revisit) and mega-fast in the Lopi bulky of which I have a few leftover balls. Was kind of drawn to the idea of some random embroidered stars, reminiscent of my lovely Stephen West starry hat. This got snaffled by eldest daughter, so I’ll definitely have to knit another one now…

Sizing: I measured my hand which is 7.5”, and cast on for the adult medium size. I didn’t swatch, however, and so it could be that my gauge is off. But I think the adult small is a better size for me; and I also knitted 3.5”, rather than 3.75”, from the thumb gusset before starting the decreases. eta: and I just realised that I knitted the ribbing on a 4.5mm rather than a 4mm, so I guess that hasn’t helped, duh.

One mitt done, one to go!

20.12: these really shouldn’t have taken 17 days to finish, it’s just another urgent knit got in the way…

Anyway, I love them!!!
