Really like this sporty/jogger top and think it will really suit Noah. I’m knitting quite a big size for him; although he’s only 4, he’s got the build of a prop forward.

Pattern: beautifully written, and a fantastic pullover construction. It took me a little while to ‘get’ the pocket section; probably the important things to note are the pocket openings are at the side of the garment; that you knit the ‘front’ of the pockets back and forward (with I-cord edging each side); and that you then return to the back sts, and knit them back and forward along with the pocket backs (in the contrast colour yarn). You then graft the pocket backs to the front sts and begin in the round again. Crystal clear?

Mods: exactly as per the pattern, though I’ve used 2 contrast colours, rather than one.

I think this is a great pullover - love everything about it! But will it fit Little Lord Fauntleroy?! slightly worried that even the 6 year old size might be a bit snug…
