Inspired by Poncho i striber, free pattern found on Ravelry
3 mm needles X 2 and sock yarn
Cast on 80 st
In SS work 20 rows, cut yarn
With right side facing, using second 3 mm needle and a different colour sock yarn, pick up 9 stitches, beginning at first needle side, cast on 80, making sure not to twist stitches, pick up 9 stitches along edge of first panel.
Work 20 rows, cut yarn
With another color of sock yarn pick up 9 stitches along the edge of last panel worked, knit across the live stitches of the first panel, pick up 9 stitches along edge of second panel knit.
Work 20 rows, cut yarn
Continue as above until poncho is as long as you desire, finish on second panel so you have an equal number of panels on each side, don’t cut yarn
Stretchy bind off last panel knitwise, pick up and bind off side of opposite panel, then stretchy bind off rest of panel, pick up And bind off last side, knitwise.
Single crochet around bottom with 6 mm hook, each stitch, and around neck with 3 mm hook.
Weave in ends
