Started with a P1 K2 P1 rib in the center of the instep and then worked an Upstream set of increases with K2 P1 ribbing in the increase area.

I worked a reinforced heel and then, after a couple of rows of K-all above the heel switched to K2 P1 rib around the entire cuff. It looks great.

3/19/2013 - got to the end of the first sock.
changed to a size 2 needle when the cuff was as long as the toe, and then knit another couple of inches before binding off with Jeny’s Surprisingly Stretchy Bind Off.

In 2020 I redyed these with pokeberry dye. They had faded a fair bit and the socks were still in good shape…here’s info on the berry collecting and the redying.
