Tried the first square with a background of Shepherd’s Wool, (with the cross in handspun) and, while it was pretty, I couldn’t get over the idea of the background in handspun as well. So I cracked into my beloved handspun Hello Yarn 3-ply Targhee, in “Parritch,” which had been slated for another project, and I fell in love.

I’ve gotten 12 more oz. from kind destashers, and we’ll see if it’s enough. Have to spin it up and am still trying to decide between a 3-ply (which is what my current Parritch is) and a 2-ply (which is what the contrast yarn is). Oh, lovely decisions.
