Notes

Size 30.7”- fits with .5” ease. For reference, I am 5’6” and have a 30” full bust and 25” waist.

There is indeed something so magical about mosaic knitting with a slow color changing yarn.

Cropped version (8 repeats before dividing for the front and back)- which doesn’t fit me as cropped. It hits at true waist (and I have a longer torso relative to my height).

No steeking for me- it is just as easy to knit mosaic flat as it is in the round. I steamed the shoulders a bit before sewing them together.

Only modification was a regular lifted bind off.

What a serious overestimate of yarn! Her numbers were way too high for what I actually used.

Some feedback on the fit and design of this sweater (please understand that none of this feedback means that I won’t wear this sweater or enjoy it, just some small notes):

  • The sleeves are a bit too tight
  • The neckline is a bit too high in the front
  • The shoulder seam doesn’t hit quite in right place
  • I don’t love that the “v” design on the sleeves is upside down in comparison to the body of the sweater.

As for the CC yarn- I gave it a try as it was a more cost efficient option in comparison to Spincycle DITW. The color shifts happened a bit too quickly when I knit the full body in the round. However, it is a better/clearer shift in the sections that were knit flat or in the smaller sleeve circumference.

My MC yarn was so soft and lovely. Definitely recommend.
