When I started this blanket, I was just trying to use up a bunch of stash wools before I had to move myself (and a lot of yarn) across the country to Seattle. But as I kept knitting squares, it seemed to be destiny that the bunch of colors I selected on a whim began to represent my new home: red and orange leaves in the fall when I arrived, green woods, blue seas, black ravens and crows, the stony Cascades and Olympics, and one snow-covered Mt. Rainier.

I arranged the blocks in a variation of the Flying Geese quilt pattern, planned with the handy website Quiltivate. A reminder to be proud of myself for making it this far.
