I’ve never done serious colorwork before, so I’m practicing with some less expensive yarn, before knitting this one up in Plucky Oxford. Knitting with two hands keeps the yarn from tangling, but since I don’t know how to do this, it’s been quite slow going. Hopefully, it will get much easier with practice.

My advice, if you love this hat, is to go for it. Surprisingly, it is really not that difficult. The result is beautiful and I enjoyed knitting it so much that I’m up at 2:30 am finishing it because I couldn’t put it down.
