I decided to bump this up my queue as mittens are a more immediate necessity than socks. Ahem.

First time double knitting. This yarn is from one of the first batches I bought. I wanted to crochet squares into a blanket. I made two of each design and they were such VASTLY different sizes that I gave up. So it’s been sitting in my stash until now!

Mere coincidence that they are Cubby blue and tonight is game freakin’ 7 of the first world series the Cubs have seen since WW2? Maybe.

Bluh! Ran out of blue. Thought about continuing with a slightly different blue but I had to buy some stuff to make another baby blanket (oh god, I actually have two of those to make…) so I ordered more.

Could have used these during this dang cold snap…

These came out rather too large for my lady hands, but they worked just fine through that early January cold snap.
