My swatch is still drying, but I think the cobblestone color isn’t going to work. It’s too thin to use with sz 8s

Nooo nonono this is bad. With sz 8 got 21 sts and 24 rounds = 4” and I do not like how the fabric looks at all.

Made a swatch with sz 6 and the row gauge looks spot on but it’s 23 sts = 4” ???

The fabric does look better with the sz 6. Maybe 7 is spot on. Shagsgshsjfkrjahs

I did get to practice a steek! And I will do at least one more before I actually start.

Got a nice reality check and a Sign in the form of the WotA cobblestone being sold out so I ordered some Cascade 220 to try again with. To be continued!

Got my 220 and am back on track! This time I got gauge with the pattern suggested needles (woo!)

Cookin. But I need to make note of my donks so’s not to repeat them:

• 1st decrease I forgot to include the first stitch on the chart so the K2Tog and SSK are right next to each other and there’s a pucker (will prob block out).
• 3rd decrease I missed so I did it on the next row. Derp.
• I’m halfway through the chart and at 9” from hem. Final measurement from armpit to hem is s/b 13” I meant to add an extra inch because I like long tops but it might end up very long…
• Russian-joined in the new ball and the join ended up right in the middle front! D:

Donk update. The body came out to be 14” almost exactly yeah!

I finished it! Cutting was fun but afterward I had to sit back and do nothing for a while. Picked up 100 sts on each arm and 112 around the neck. I basted down the steeks on the inside and the lumps don’t seem to be visible (?) still gotta wash and block and make sure everything holds up.

Also this thing fits. Ain’t no room for growth. Guess I didn’t measure for positive ease. Or I was a little optimistic about my waist size (and modest about the bust). So. I need to find some more form-fitting buttonups to wear underneath.
