Wow ok so there is some hate for this yarn. I like it so far even though it shed all over my work pants on the train…

Many complaints are about the discrepancies in size… it varies from bulky to less than fingering which I actually like. It makes it interesting to knit and I can tell the texture is going to look really cool.

However, the complaint I can get on board with is that this stuff is really difficult to keep tension with! Especially between the knits and purls, which this particular pattern has lots of. So I am finding myself stopping and tightening basically every time I’m switching from knit to purl which is… taxing.

I wonder if this stuff would look good as a straight-up garter blanket…

Yeeeeeaaaahhh I already ripped back and nixed the pattern in favor of garter stitch. Looking to finish this quickly so it can be on its way to Japan before the babe is born!

All done! This blanket is very soft and squishy but also somewhat heavy. I think the texture looks okay overall, but I probably won’t use this yarn again. I hope it holds up to wear and tear!
