First time doing socks on a magic loop!

I’m adding two parallel purl zig-zags on the front just to break up the monotony of the stockinette.

Not sure if it’s very complimentary to the colorway but I guess we’ll see!

Got the heel flap, turn and gusset done. Now on the foot tube.

I donked up because I assumed I remembered how to pick up stitches properly but I did not. Now there is a hole on 1 side. Also donked up the zig-zag pattern on one repeat. Oh well, at least these are for me and me alone.

One sock done! Gonna pause this and work on something else before starting #2.

Began sock #2 yesterday. No SSS for me.

Did the heel and gusset CORRECTLY this time. Sock #2 is on track to be far and away better than sock #1!

Ergh. Well, sock #2 was nearly perfect but then I screwed up big time by grafting the toe too loosely. I was distracted by (OF ALL THINGS) hour 4 of the Norwegian national knitting night (where they knit a sweater in real-time starting with the sheep…)

I tried sewing it shut a bit but the tail was a bit too short. Maybe I can wash them and fudge it a bit more. Oh well!
