Goya wants the same width as the previous cowl so 61.5 cms around but to a height of 43cms instead of 45 cms. It may well be shorter cos I could only get two skeins and had about 38gms left over from the last cowl/headband.

Fhdc 88 sts for 61.5 cms around.

Ahhh, the seam moves. I forgot that. I feel I could totally work this in a spiral but also I’m loath to deviate from the pattern.

Ha, I managed to increase on the mini-bean rounds to 93 sts on round 13. I knew that joining gap was getting me into trouble. Oh well.

I really wish I had done the mini-bean rounds in a spiral. I feel I did on the first cowl but was too nervous to this time.

Was afraid I’d run out of yarn on the final round so used a slip stitch in the third loop instead of a single crochet.

Did the same as the previous version: four full sections and a half of the mini-bean. It’s longer than Goya wanted because I wanted to finish the whole skein so actually 45 cms like the previous.

If I ever do this pattern again, I should just do the whole thing in a spiral, no nasty joins except for the start and finish.
