Followed the instructions for the 3month size almost exactly with no modifications. I used much less yarn than the pattern called for, basically 1 entire skein of the KFO merino. I had barely 1g leftover, so I was definitely getting nervous near the end of the project!

For the short rows, I did pick up the wraps because I missed the note that said not to. I don’t know what difference, if any, that made.

For the sleeves, I met the length requirement before I finished the final stockinette repeat rows, so I omitted about 3 rows from each sleeve.

If I had more yarn, I would’ve chosen to make the ruffle section a little longer for more flounce, before beginning the hem.

I only did 3 buttonholes, and I modified the buttonhole to do a more structured one that the pattern called for. This caused my buttonholes to be right up against the edge of the button, and so slightly off-center. If I were to do this pattern again, I would’ve done the buttonholes 1st earlier. This isn’t a problem with the pattern, but with how I chose to make my modification.

I did an Icelandic BO for both the body and sleeves because I like the way it looks on garter stitch. This also meant I had to do an extra purl row on each sleeve so I could do the Icelandic BO on a knit row.
