FINAL THOUGHTS
This is my 2nd balloon cardigan and I just really love this pattern. The cardigan is so chic, and the pattern is quick to knit and easy to follow.

This time I chose to knit with a fingering weight wool + mohair like the pattern calls for, and I really love the fluffiness and drape that this combo creates.

SIZE
My bust size is 96cm so I fell between sizes, but I chose to knit the smaller size M, since this is my 2nd time knitting this cardigan and I enjoyed the fit using this size.

NECKBAND
I used a longtail cast on method, but reversed from the standard way so it formed purl stitches. That way the first row I knit would be a RS row with the knit stitches at the base of the cast-on instead of purls.
I knit 40 rows for the right half of the neckband and 41 rows on the left half. I then picked up 3 / 4 stitches along the length of the neckband to form the body stitches.

RAGLAN & BODY & SLEEVES
I did this section exactly to pattern instructions, following the suggestions for when to split sleeves, when to place the buttonholes, and used sewn Italian bind off method.

BUTTONS
For the buttonholes, I chose to do a single-row reinforced buttonhole, which involved casting off stitches and then doing a cable cast on in the same row. This makes a tighter, more secure buttonhole, and I needed to do it over 3 stitches instead of 2st to fit the buttons I chose.
Instructions for this buttonhole are below, starting at 4:10.

I picked out a set of vintage shell buttons and sewed them on with a matching blue thread for stability.
I followed this tutorial for the buttons.
