FINAL THOUGHTS
I really love the look of this pattern, it’s cute and dressy. It would make a nice sweater for a holiday party.
This pattern knits up fairly quickly - I finished it in just over 2 weeks. The construction and techniques used add really nice finishing touches without being too difficult to work.
I knit the size 3, and even though I sized down a needle size, my finished garment pretty closely matches the finished dimensions in the pattern. That being said, the pattern calls for 10 skeins of yarn, and I ended up using almost exactly 8 skeins (I literally had 2g of the 8th skein left). And I used the recommended yarn too, so I think you could probably get away with ordering a skein or 2 less than the pattern calls for.
I knit the neckline last, to make sure I had enough yarn to finish both sleeves. The neckline only used about 7-8g of yarn, and the sleeves used about 110g each.
CAST-ON
Cast on using larger needle size US7 (4.5mm), but immediately sized down to US6 (4mm) for knitting the body.
I used long-tail cast on method, but alternated knitwise/purlwise for an in-pattern cast on edge.

BODY
Since my row gauge was off due to using smaller needle size, I knit the body about 3cm longer than the pattern called for before beginning the waist shaping.
I knit a total of 36 rows after the waist shaping section was completed before splitting for sleeves.
SLEEVES
For the sleeves, I followed the pattern for decreases but needed to knit an additional 36 straight rows to reach the necessary length due to my row gauge differences.
I shortened the rib section to 3.25in (24 rows), then converted the 2x2 rib to 1x1 rib and did an Italian bind off.

NECKLINE
When I first picked up the stitches for the neckline, I wasn’t happy with how the stitches along the front neckline were lining up. So I ripped it out all the way back to the left shoulder strap and redid the neckline so the picked-up stitches were aligned with the front better. I’m really happy I took the extra effort to do this, because the 2x2 rib on the front lines up perfectly.
I tried to do a stretchy bindoff at first but it was visibly flaring, and I didn’t think I actually needed the extra stretchiness anyway. So I undid that BO and just did the standard BO where you work the next stitch and pass the previous stitch over. It turned out well, looked neat, and fit perfectly.
