FINAL THOUGHTS
This pattern is beautiful, I’m definitely thinking I’ll be knitting another one of these in maybe a cream or black color!

I really recommend steam-blocking periodically while knitting this pattern. The elongated stitch pattern really changes with blocking, and it can be hard to get a feel for the correct length until it is blocked.

BODY, NECK, WAIST, & SLEEVES
I knit the body slightly longer than the pattern recommended, by about an additional 1” which was about one extra pattern repeat.

I only knit about half the recommended length in the waistband, about 5 pattern repeats. I think my gauge was slightly off and doing the full number of repeats in the pattern would’ve made the ties way too thick.
I also think if I were to knit this again, I might opt for slightly less decreasing in the waistline before beginning the waistband - because I made my body a bit longer the recommended, I found that the decreases caused it to cinch it just a little bit more than I think I would’ve liked. It still fits, but it’s just slightly tighter than I’m comfortable with. This might also be due to my BO though.

I chose to skip the neckline finishing - I thought it looked fine as is and it’s not really curling at all so I didn’t think it was needed.

I shortened the sleeves quite a bit, my size recommended doing 27 pattern repeats but I only ended up doing 23.

I did the icelandic bind-off for both the body and sleeves. It’s a really beautiful BO that works really well with the garter stitch pattern, but it unfortunately also isn’t the stretchiest bind-off so it does leave the edges a little tight. I did have to use a larger needle size on the BO too.
