This was a really fun and easy pattern to knit up! I love the detailing on the neckline and the shoulders.

I poked through my stash for yarn this time and grabbed one one based on weight/color/yardage alone. I was so shocked to find the fiber content was an exact match to what the pattern recommended; it was meant to be!

I ended up adding one extra inch of length to the body before the split ribbing along the bottom, and after blocking it turned out to be just the perfect length. When I tried it on pre-block it was too short and I had a moment of panic where I thought I’d have to take it all out again! So glad that didn’t end up happening. (Also, the bottom edge looked super weird pre-block, so trust the process and don’t panic if you see it and go “whaaaaat???” )

For the neckline, the pattern says the sample has 14 rows, but when I counted on the photograph it looked closer to 18, so I’m not really sure what’s up with that. Maybe there’s more or maybe the ply of the yarn was causing an optical illusion. Either way, I did something like 17/18 rows (including bind-off) because when I hit 14 it was much narrower of a band than I was expecting. I think if I were to do it again I might stop at 16, but for this one I absolutely could not be bothered to rip out and re-do the bind-off.

Love how this turned out so much, and the yarn is so soft with fantastic drape. Definitely will be wearing this often!
