This was a pattern I just sorta threw together, loosely referencing my Activity Rings Gloves notes for the thumb gusset. The design on the back was roughly inspired by these two patterns, but the actual chart I made was DIY.

Yarn was quad-stranded for gauge, for avoiding hand cramps via teeny tiny needles, and to burn through the extra skein of lace I had to buy to finish this cardigan. This dye lot of Marine was heavily variegated with black, so much so that I’d personally be hard pressed to label it with the same color name as my original skeins. (Could be the color’s been like this for a while, or it was my original yarn that was the anomaly; I have no idea.) On the plus side though, it looked really awesome for this project!

These were a gift for a friend, and only the second time I’ve established totally custom sizing with a handful of measurements. They ended up fitting her, and I’m so stoked!
