I started this as a stress relief project - I’d been holding onto the yarn for a while and decided to treat myself today. I have two skeins of this colorway, and the second is much cooler and a bit more subdued, but just as beautiful. They are both pleading for linen stitch patterns!!! ;)

I finished knitting this today, using all but about 2 yards of the skein. As I was knitting, the color balance gradually changed from warm oranges and reds to cooler blues and greens, creating a subtle overall ombre effect. I couldn’t have planned it any better! In LOVE with this cowl and the yarn… it’s soaking now; will post more photos when it is blocked.

I used the bind-off I had used for my previous incarnations of this cowl; K1, K1, (shift back to left needle), K2tog through the back loop, K1, shift, K2tog through the back loop… and so on.
